Heater Panel does not light up.

Hello all, just purchased a 2004 E.B. excursion and had it about a month. The heater control panel does not light up at all and nothing works. Any ideas what I could do before I have to take it to the dealer? Would be nice to defrost the windows. The overhead console doesn't light up, I already searched and found the loose resistor fix for this. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

if it is the ac heater panel, clock, ect. and you have auto headlights try turning them off then on then off then back to auto pausing between each one.
