Hello from Grand Rapids, Mn.
Hi all, just wanted to stop in to say hello.......We are new to this site, but so far it looks to be a pretty cool source for all that is the "blue oval"......My 17 year old son and I are just begining his "first" high school hot rod project, which by the way he will be recieving credits for.......a 1952 f-1 pickup....
plans so far are to do a complete frame off resto, upgrading the entire suspension,boxing the frame where needed, MII front end, 9'' rear ect. I have a 70 460/C-6 combo that I have been hanging onto for the past 12 years, just waiting for the "right" project.....well here it is! We plan on "freshening"
it up with a "few" high performance upgrades as well!!......The body is in fairly decent shape for a 56 year old truck and will need some work, but it will be a fun learning experience........my son really likes the "old school" type of hotrods and he's leaning towards a black suede primer finish, a few custom mods ie: frenched taillights and license plate, rear roll pan,pinstripping and a set of stock style steel painted rims and hupcaps.We will also be upgrading all the wiring, glass and interior as well.....We will post some pics as we go.

Hi and a big welcome to you and your son, sounds like some very good plans for the 52! The old school rods are so cool.
Since you`ve found the 1948-1960 Ford Trucks forum you`ll have plenty of ideas to mull over.
