Hello:
Mi truck vibrates a lot when I put the gears on reverse and stops when I put it on drive, does any one knows how to fix this?, and also vibrates during idle but just a few seconds.
I think i'm currently having the same issue. Is it kind of a metallic, grinding vibration? I am not sure how to diagnose it on my truck but a friend said it may be my bearings...
Welcome to the both of you, Bryans98 and Troncoso! I am not sure what the problem could be but a bearing problem is a likely guess. What model and year of trucks do you guys have? Information like what you see in my signature is always helpful when you are asking for advice. Good luck!
Thanks John
My truck is a F-150 4.2 2001, yeah a bearing could be but, I'm not sure because at idle it vabrates too not for a long period of time but i does
Mine is a 1998 F-150, 4.6L 4X2, with the long bed. Mine wont do it at idle but when i inch forward, say at a stop light or just a real slow roll, that's where i notice it most. left turns as well...
Bryans98 if yours does it only around corners, then you likely have worn out clutches in the rear differential. That is if your truck has a limited slip diferential. Take a look at the door tag and tell us what the code is for the axle.
with the truck off.....take a rubber mallet and tap around under the truck....amazing at the stuff that will resonate thru the vehicle...the vib could also be from tranny fluid needing to be changed...mine did it slightly before the tranny change....yes at a standstill
