Relay For Life
I mentioned this is another thread. Thought I would offer more details here.
Riding herd over 75 Varsity and JV Drill Team girls from 5:00 today 'til 6:00 tomorrow morning. The team is sponsoring the local Relay For Life group recognizing cancer survivors. Our teams alone have all ready raised over $ 3,000.00 this week. The girls and other groups camp out on / near the football field all night. The girls take 30 minute shifts walking around the track....even throughout the wee hours of the morning
In addition, to lighten the mood a bit. 20 Drill Team dads (of which I am one
) will be preforming a Hip Hop dance for the girls and a few hundred other participants. My daughter and a couple of her buddies did the choreography and coached us. Well, tried to anyway. We certainly have tested their nerves...
