Efi to Carb ????
I sure this has come up a number of times, but is it feasible to change an 88 5.8 efi to a manifold and carb ( 650 4bl ) major changes to mileage or power?? Is there a difference in the heads efi or carb?

it can be done. your going to loose low end torque due to the shorter intake runners of a carb intake. you will also loose fuel milage because the fuel metering ability of the computer and injecters wont be there. on the plus side, you will gain alittle top end power. and thats about it. plus emissions! if it has to pass the sniffer or vissual check its going to fail. correction you could probly get it to pass with the carb, but it wont pass the viss. and i belive you will have to switch out the distributer also. id say stay with the fuel injection. but all in all its your truck!! good luck!
