That's a great story. I dont have any real kills, but this is good. Last year we had a pretty good snow on I-5, and I'm in 2 wheel cruising down the freeway at 50, when this guy in a Honda is right on my tail, flashing his lights, revving the engine, the whole bit. After several minutes of this he rips around me, pushing what looks like 70mph, with all his fog lights glaring away so everyone knows he's cool, and spins out, ends up crashing into the median, and finally ending busted in the middle of the freeway facing backwards. So as I slow down, roll down the window and see if hes okay, he says " That was probably stupid" and I say "yeah, I think it was." Pushed him out of the road and left him there. I dont think I have ever seen anyone so embarressed before.

Almost 10 years ago, my wife was cruising in her 5.0 when some guy in a Corvette decided the best way to flirt with her was to egg her on with his 'vette, while driving down the freeway.
She smoked him all the way up to 120, when she finally shut it down. The guy of course did a ricer flyby, honking at the same time. So my wife waited for him to slow back down to 55, at which time she again laid the smackdown on him to make sure he knew the Blue Oval "Boss" was two-for-two against his Bow Tie.
When she told me about it, she had that same, wicked laugh!

Nice kill.
But.... Not trying to sound mean here or anything. The 454 isn't a quick engine by any means. I think it's peak HP before it died was 240hp. I'm not a chebby lover by any means but if it was the 8.1 Vortec, she may have given you a pretty hard run.

And Diane, as soon as I get myself moved and things situated, I'll be dumping that Hypermax and giving you guys a call...
As was mentioned before, that 1 ton 454 isn't exactly the fastest vehicle out there (even though I was sitting at the light, stopped, by the time she caught up)...so I need to start thinking about adding a little bit of power.
BTW - Heavy Metal I am not trying to claim my truck is fast, I just thought you all might enjoy the story because of what a horrible bully this person is. I know my truck doesn't run anywhere near as fast as many of the trucks on the 7.3 forum. we'll be remedying this situation shortly.
Right now the truck is a DD and I hesitate adding power with that stock 4R100....but EVENTUALLY, it'll be a rec truck and we'll start doing some work.

I know how you feel, Lisa. You drive this big truck and people look at you like you drive a big truck, but have no idea that you can wipe their silly grins off their faces with the push of a button.
Next time Jody and I are in CO for live tunig you'll have to come by. I love meeting other women that know a thing or two about diesel's.

Diane do you and Jody ever stop anywhere in Iowa? That's where I'm headed. Once I'm there I'll be pretty serious about discussing a tuner, my other half has 3 cars I can drive if the truck dumps a tranny. LOL. Would love to meet you guys one of these days.

It's even better when hauling a trailer in the mountains. These little zip cars see a big truck hauling a trailer and do their damndest to pass ya up...only to get passed themselves the next time we hit another incline. It's quite funny actually. I'll pass them up on the next hill, they've got their ricer floored, all 4 cylinders clattering away. We reach the summit and they come flying back down the other side of the mountain at 110mph, and then the next hill comes and I catch them and pass them again. I've even had people flip me off before they get so mad. It's great drivetrip entertainment.

Good job Lisa! Do I sence DP coming your way soon? BTW! Did you see her today going to work? Most likely see drove something else to work today so you couldn't find her! or stayed home because of the imbarasment of getting beat!
