coolant leak

Has anyone had any problems with the thermostat housing leaking? I thought my water pump was going out but looking closer it looks like it is the housing above the thermostat where the upper hose connects, either the gasket or the hose to housing connection. But it does not always leak so it is hard to trace.

Yep, I have the same problem, even with the billet thermostat housing. It tends to leak a little bit at some point in the warm up process.

I used a small bead of grey RTV when installing my new water pump, t-stat and billet housing. No leaks!
