Brake pop-off
I found something new to me! On my 75 F-250 Hi-boy,drum brakes all around.I found a 3-way block in my rear brake line. One line comes from the front,two lines come from my rear wheels. Where they all come together in a 3-way fitting mounted on my rear axle,the 3-way fitting has a cap on it. The cap is leaking,I tried to turn it and now it's loose and won't tighten.What is this thing and how do I fix it. Thanks for all your help past,present & future. David

thats a diff vent. its a bolt, that goes through the brakeline block, and doubles as a vent for the rear diff.
leaking? unless the rear diff is extremely over full, or the truck was upside down, it shouldnt be leaking.
you might notice some seepage of oil, shouldnt be much tho.
