Newbie Thread

I would suggest using this thread to come up with an opening post for a new thread and figure out what kind of links or Tips & Tricks you guys want to add that would be helpful to new offroaders.
You guys know more than anyone what questions you don't want to see asked over & over & over. Come up with something in here for an instructional / informational thread and I can move things later.
This thread is beyond cleaning up. Only 2 or 3 posts worth keeping in an informational thread.
I thought the 7 days would get your attentions.

Right now I've been trying to get ready for a surprise In-Law visit tomorrow, My Uncle's 86th B-Day dinner here Friday and in my spare time getting my porch bar & stools sanded & painted. Need everything done before Saturday cause I have to prep & paint the hood & cowl on the Jeep to have her ready for Jeeptoberfest. I go to work for rest anymore.

Well as I stated. Its kind of hard to ask a question and answer one, when five other "noobs" are doing the same.
People will get confused, excessive pages will pop up. It will be hard to find things.
And I think that EVERYONE should be treated equal. As Carlene said, everyone has to start somewhere. There is no reason a person new to four wheeling has to be FLAMED if they are not in a designated area. Some people can just learn to control the temper.
Aswell as controlling the temper, as long as people quit making conversations in threads with eachother most of the time a thread can pop up, and be ended without a big problem.
But the lift/tire size thing kind of varies for all vehicles. My truck can fit my 37's with no lift. And for most vehicles that does not work out.

Yup. That sucker fits and turns with no lift.
Just a stock 88' F-350. As far as I know. My dad owned it for 5 years or so before he gave it to me last Feburuary.. and the work began.
But as far as I know its stock. Neither he or I lifted it. And it had a utility box.
If it is lifted, it was ages ago.

I no longer have the stock F-350 bumper.
It does not LOOK like it has a lift. If so it was a long time ago. :P
I hit a small stump and smashed my bumper in so now I have a heavy duty winch bumper that is raised up and in front of the truck. It doesn't tuck back under the body anymore.
So besides that extra clearence it doesnt have any major modifications.
It might have a body lift? I noticed a helluva lot of room between the transmission and body. :P
Can someone take this post off of "READ FIRST"
