My newest mod, chrome oval
So my ford emblem had been chipped, so I went ahead and fixed it. After taking it off, I found the easiest way for me to remove the clear film was by letting it sit in a pot of water I had heated up in a coffee pot. After hot, the film stays together much easier allowing for feeling it off. Once removed, I used acetone to clean the blue off, then cleaned it up with dawn and re-installed it. I am overall happy with how it turned out, here are some pics.

Thats funny you posted this...I just got an '06 with the embelem all bubbled up and not right anymore...I wonder if there was a huge "bad batch" around those years??

I wouldn't say mine was a bad batch, it was messed up because it looked like it was hit with a rock.

you got a little bird mess over your drivers side headlite. also bugs in the radiator.

Thanks for noticing. For the bugs, I've done a lot of night driving lately. As for the bird droppings...I must have gotten unlucky cause i never park under any trees...

I like the chrome oval. Think I may just go do the same.

the front emblem is a problem like the chromed badges are (black paint likes to peel).

if your under warranty, just drop by the Ford house and get them replaced for free
