Wink Pulleys???

In replacing my water pump I am replacing the tensioner assembly with its 2 pulleys and the 1 idler pulley by itself.
The factory pulleys are installed with the "cup" facing outwards and the new tensioner, GoodYear brand that I got from Northern Auto parts off Ebay along with the NICE AIRTEX water pump the pulleys are installed with the "flush" side out.....is there any difference other than cosmetic?? Thanks!

As long as the alignment of the pulley surface to belt is the same, it shouldn't be a big deal.

But they HAVE to be the same in that regard!

Thanks!! Pop!! I think I'm going to install the new setup with the flush side out--and install the single idler pulley that way too.
One more question: When I removed the original tensioner assembly the long bolt that holds it on was stuck in it, and I gave it a tap and out came what looks like a small rubber "O" ring....I think it must have been slid over the bolt between the tensioner body and the engine bracket....wonder what purpose it serves?? think I should transfer it to the new tensioner assembly??

Wonder if it was just a temporary bolt retainer during the factory assembly process.

Dinno'.

Yep, that oring just holds the bolt in place, it did not go back one when I replaced my tensioner.
