like any dana 44 i know. the lockers are big.
the plate call for a D2TA-ABA 603305-1 4.09
Can someone help me to fined out what is this axel?
I think it came from a 72 F-250.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Dec-01 AT 02:57 PM (EST)]My 73 F250 has a dana 44 front with 4.09 gears. The gears are more known as 4.10 because it is 4.099... Is it a closed knuckle. If it is it is a dana 44.
Derek
according to Dana Spicer 72 only came with two axle ratios in 3/4 tons
those being 4.09 and 4.55 which came in the heavy duty pick ups
look for 603305-4 stamped in the tube for hd model
you have the D-44 HD with 4.09 gears with open diff. It has the larger hubs and huge closed knuckles. The BOM 603305-1 tells it all.
U-joints are larger than the standard close knuckle D-44 with internal hubs.
