Yay!!! Leveling kit. Boo noises

I got my truck back from the shop, leveling kit installed but on the way home I heard a grinding / sand papery sound coming from the front suspension. I got home (5 mile drive). I looked under the truck and found a torn drivers side CV boot. I called the shop while still laying on the ground. They are going to order the part today and replace it tomorrow. The shop owner took responsibility for the problem immediately.

I think I heard the grinding coming from within the boot. I'm pretty sure there's no more grease in there.

You need to look at the brake dust covers on the back. I bent mine too putting it on. Just have to pull them out a little. They are just tin and will bend easy.

then you have another problem as well. the front halfshafts DO NOT SPIN while in 4x2.

they only spin while in 4x4. so if you heard grinding and there was motion...your IWE is engaging somehow

I hope not. I'm not going to have my truck back till tomorrow. They did not get all the parts in today. Something about missing clamps.

The more I think about it, it could have been the dust shields.

dust shields or the brake rotor itself sounds more likely...and I hope so for your sake

Well I got my truck back, it's perfect. Everything new, even the axle.

while I was there, I talked to them about my e-fan setup ( Lincoln Mark VIII fan and DC controller FK35 ) and there going to install it for free. If they like it there going to start advertising the setup.
