The transmission was functioning normally then all of a sudden major slippage truck would not move in drive, yet it functions fairly normally in reverse and 1st gear. Hooked up auto enginuity and the TC slippage actual is reading very low numbers.
For example when sitting at an idle 700 rpms the TC slippage is reading 100 ish. When the TC slippage is reading accurate the tranny feels normal.
The truck is an 01 I believe it has the mechanical diode (or whatever the defective diode is referred to as) Are these symptoms consistent with a mechanical diode failure?
Are there any other sensors/loose wires/loose plugs that I should trouble shoot?
Currently have an appt with BTS mid october but would like to have the truck back in business before then. Although the BTS tranny is worth the wait.
He could but there are other trucks available for the time being, and there is something to be said for correct installation, and we are having the cooler upgraded at the same time. It is worth the wait.
