I have an 2000 F250 w/ 170k automatic 7.3 and my problem is the first start of the morning is very difficult. I hear the fuel pump kick on, the truck turns over fine, but takes several seconds before starting. this morning, it took a second try to get it to start, thought i was going to be stranded. After starting, the truck runs fine, with no smoke or any other issues. And the rest of the day, its starts right up. I suspect the batteries, but looking for any help checking anything else. This is my first diesel truck and not very familiar with the workings, thanks

Been going thru the same thing. Clean the terminals and head over to autozone and get the batt's load tested. Ended up i had a bad battery. Also, check your connections on the Glow Plug Relay
