front disc brakes
I have a 66 ford 4x4.I believe the front axle is original(dana 44,Maybe Dana 30).How difficult is it to change from drums to disc brakes on this truck.What does closed knuckle vs. open knuckle mean?:-X11

On the inside by the ball joint look at the axle, if you can see the axle its an open axle, if not its closed. The closed seems to be weaker. Try 4wheelparts.com for the brake conversion. Also on the passenger side of the front diff the type or size of the axle is there. Like on mine you see a raised 44 on the front. On my other truck it has a raised 60 on each, this means a Dana 44 or 60. Hope this helps.
