OK.. I posted a couple of weeks back about an issue with a 2000 Exp. 4.0 SOHC and the infamous P0455 Code.
I replaced the fuel cap... No Luck.
I replaced the canister vent solenoid... No luck.
I gave up and took it to a shop for a smoke test. The mechanic said it was leaking at the vent solenoid that was replaced. He recommended checking the harnesses for a bad connection. I checked the wiring and all was good.
I took it back to the mechanic and he did another smoke test. Still leaking at the solenoid. He ran more diagnostics and said it was the body control module? (p/n xl2t-14b205-CD) Located under the dash by the radio. I replaced it. Drove the vehichle 60+ miles and code P0455 is back.
Any thoughts?
Could I have gotten a bad vent solenoid?
