Well so far nobody has said over 5k for it,so Im not alone thinking he's asking a little much.

Hey,it never hurt to try.I'll show him a big wad of cash and see where it takes me.Money does funny things.

Not for me to sound like a you know what...but I can honestly say that I have probably gotten more screaming deals on more 73-79s than anyone has.Deals that I wont even get into.Cash in hand does amazing things, especially when people need to get rid of it.So does being in the right place at the right time.I can haggle with the best of them,no doubt.

I might be willing to pay 5K,but I would never start my offer there.

I highly doubt that this guy would turn down cash money he NEEDS,for a truck that he can no longer drive, just to be a hardass and let it sit and rot.The worst thing he can do is say no,and find some middle ground. If he does thats fine.Im not losing sleep over a truck that I dont need.

Thanks for the comments though. Now I feel a challenge!!!

It's not a matter of being a "hardass" or not. I personally would take it as a slap in the face if I were the seller and you came at me with a lowball offer like that.

It probably don't matter much though as I have only bought and sold 1 or 2 of these before and I don't have any concept as to what I'm talking about. Good luck with your purchase.

If you have got more "screaming deals" than anyone here what was the purpose of this thread? It sounds like you have it all figured out from the get go.

How bout a '73 F-250 4X4 with 13K origianl?

I just joined this little site while looking for a litttle info on what a 1973 F-250 4X4 Custom with a little over 13,000 miles might be worth. It has never sat outside overnight since new. Sounds crazy I know. Has the large front hubs. Even the original 16.5 rims. I will have an opportunity to purchase this weekend. Also needing a grill guard for my '78 F-250 Lariat 4X4. Thanks anyone who replies.

figured out

ok, i posted my own new thread, so maybe I will get it seen. The miles are document and the storage area it was kept in was climate controled. The divorced t-case seals are seeping a little. I am sure there may be a little dry rot on the motor/cab/trans mounts.

Cash talks if you show up with 3500 cash in 100 bills he may go for it theres a guy I know thats the ultimate dealer the most recent thing was a dodge lil red express pickup paid 800 for it put new carpet seat and exhaust and buffed the paint. He had it listed for 8,000 and I told him he was crazy about a month later I saw it driving way up north of here called him and sure enough he sold it for that. On this pickup though I don't care how many miles are on it it still has the same amount of years as any other so I would't pay half of what he is asking. I work with a guy that has a truck much like yours but it has had a complete frame off resoration and a Real healthy 460 and c6. The paint is probably the nicest black paintjob I have ever seen on one of these truck he paid 5,000 cash for it I will take a picture of it the next time he drives it to work if I can remember. Had all the reciepts with it too.

i would say buy the truck especially if it is good as the description, and you should put pictures with the truck so we can get a better idea, and a picture is worth a thousand words, any ways good look with your find and hope it is sweet as you say, and if it is score!

I just bought basicly the same truck but a Super Cab XLT with a lift. I paid 1K for my truck but needs some body work. I'm going to have about 3k more in the truck to fix the body and paint it. That's not counting my time. So I would say 4k would be about right. Good Luck!
