No power to obd2 port

My friends truck will not let us scan from the port. What would be the problem. All the fuses look to be good!

Ok well, I looked over the fuses and they looked ok. But then I found that thread after a lil while "thanks for the reply tho" and BOOM the cigar fuse was blown. So ok no big deal put another one in and the damn thing blew up in my face and so put a bigger one just for the hell of it and boom. So long story short after f'n around for awhile finally notice a dime is in the bottom of the cigar thing and everything was good.

The simplist things can turn something easy in to alot of work!! lol

Thanx for the education on the risk of kids in my vehicle. I have two and the oldest one being just over two is starting to put things where they don't belong.

Funny thing is, he learnt his lesson at a very early age, 2 years old,
never stuck a key in the socket again.....never been the same either

The truck is his dads and he never smokes so just never realized it was in there. Just next time watch out what goes in there that shouldnt lol. If not informed of that fuse making the port not work you search the truck inside out and it will make you look like a dumb *** in the end!!! Im 19 and never did anything that I shouldnt have or at least I thought my dad would tell a def story lol!! My lil brother that is now 15 thats a whole nother story!!!!!!
