If you see her with "THAT LOOK" (and you will soon learn what that is) immediately run out and get her a box of candy, a dozen roses, tickets to her fav chick-flick and apologize profusely for everything under the sun ...

Always write down all dates that she ever mentions ... All dates on the calendar have a reason ... Do not forget any of them ... If she asks you what today is and you don't know, uh oh ...

Well, I have read through this thread with great interest. Every description that has been made of a woman perfectly describes that effing x-wife of mine, but not a one of them applies to PreciousOne. She is totally different. Never met one like her, I will definately keep her!

LIBERATED - freed from or opposed to traditional social and sexual attitudes or roles.
INDEPENDENT - not subject to control by others, not requiring or relying on something else, not requiring or relying on others
FIRST THING, FIRST.....I am NOT liberated!! I am not freed from the traditional ideas of the roles of men and women.....I do still believe that the woman should stay at home and take care of the husband, the children, and the household.....THIS is the most important role I have ever had the pleasure of being in......I do still believe that the man should be the one to go out and earn a living for his family, to provide for their NECESSARY NEEDS, (food, shelter, clothing) and not all of the materialistic crap that people clutter their lives and homes with......if the couple has to have two incomes to provide for the NECESSARY NEEDS of the family, then so be it, but that doesnt make a woman liberated.....I was a stay-at-home mom from 1990 until 2006, because of my newly divorced status, I was forced to leave the home and work, I was fortunate enough to find a job with the family business (although it SUCKED) in which I was able to continue to home-school my younger three children.
SECOND - I AM INDEPENDENT!!!! I do not NEED another individual to provide support for myself and my children....I have an ex that is so low to the ground he could squeeze between the ground and a snakes belly....no child support....works for cash....doesnt file taxes....moved away from the area....has NO contact with his children.....so I am FULLY INDEPENDENT in the financial aspect of my life....DANGED DIFFICULT at times, but well worth it~~
I do not NEED a man in my life, he is in my life because I WANT him to be here....and he wants to be here, because of how I am.....he does not stay with me for fear that I can not make it on my own, as he knows I can, have, and will again, if NECESSARY.
So, you see, an individual CAN be independent without being liberated!!!!!
I am NOT always right and have never claimed to be. I invite any and all opinions, whether they agree or disagree, as we can always agree to disagree.....but NO ONE knows me better than I know myself.....and WHAT YOU SEE, IS WHAT YOU GET~~~ Nothing more - nothing less~~~~
