I like northern Nevada a lot. I would consider moving there to retire.

Oh, yeah. Reno.

Actually, there isn't a whole lot once you get away form those two metro areas.

Up north there are some nice little (very little) towns like Lovelock, Fallon, Fernley, Winnemucca, Ely, Elko. Yerington is very nice, too. Very rural, and lots of space to be had.

yeah all those town names was like a mental road trip for me. we used to take a lot of road trips before we had kids and have been to all of those towns.
