I lived in Fallon for 364 days, august of '90 to august of '91. in the winter of '90 it got so cold (-45 F) there was pogo nip every where pogo nip is piute for white death, anyhow it was so cold that our septic system froze and we couldn't shower or flush. the fence was about 8 inches wide looked like a block wall.

after 2 hours to get my truck running I went to work and the shop was so cold the tools kept sticking to my hands. our dunk tank for tires a horse tank 6 foot in diameter and 2 1/2 foot deep was solid ice.
