Hey, I ran it with it unplugged, and it ran really bad...I ran it with it plugged back in and it ran a little better. Yea it had a significant amount of white smoke...Now my batts are dead, I am going to be pulling it to my house so I can charge them up! Do you have any idea of what could be going on??? I'll be checking back in a few hours!!!
Thanks for all the help.
Check your emergency fuel shut off switch, its located in the passenger foot well. It might have tripped if not your going to want to check for fuel pressure.
ok im back home got my batts on charge unplugging the icp sensor dident do anything unless i got the wrong one. drained the water seperator changed the fuel filter. engine oil looks fine how do i check the hpop... where is it and how. also i cant find the ebp sensor where is its location and where do i get one the auto parts store dident have it. its idoling spurattic like caughing and puffing a greyish white smoke keep it comming.
i have no way to check the pressure right now how will i tell if the reset is tripped and if so how do i reset it. could it possibly be my fuel pump??? i stuck my finger on it and had someone turn the ignition on and i felt it click once... is their another method to tell besides a pressure tester???

Open the drain valve and watch the fuel come out. Then turn the key to the on position but don't start it (with the valve open) and you should see a strong steady stream of fuel shooting out. If you don't get much of a visible increase in pressure or volume you've either got a weak pump or obstruction in the pick up tube screens.
ok i opened the water seperator valve... a little fuel trickeld out... then turned the ignition on key forward (dident start it) and no fuel whats so ever came out... now what
Check the inertia switch(emergency fuel shut off) in the passenger kick well, if its tripped it will be popped up. All you do it push the button down and its no longer shut off. That is what it sounds like to me. If it is pushed down still try to push it down and re-do the test with the fuel drain.
If you have no fuel again, your pump may be shot or you have a obstruction from the pump back. In that case, take the fuel line off at the rear of the pump, and take an air compressor nozzle and blow backwards through the lines. TAKE OFF YOUR FUEL TANK CAP FIRST. Afterwards, hook line back up and try again.
no its quiet earlier i put my ear near it and dident hear anything... then took my finger and put on it and had my girlfriend turn the key forward and i felt it click but no humm or whine or anyother noise. u think thats it. i priced one and it was 170 but dident get it cuz i wasent shure it that was the prob what do ya think...
yea the reset wasent tripped i still pushed on it. good idea on blowing through the lines from the pump back. if i do that will i need to bleed the system if so how. and if the pump were bad or an obstruction from the pump back would that cause the white smoke and all...
i cant ever recall a humm sound befor except from my glow plug heater or my vac pump inside the engine compartment but when i got down and listend to it when the key was turned it just clicked and thats all i could hear and feel
It may be an obstruction.. I'd blow the lines first just to be sure... you should still hear the pump running tho if lines were blocked. Sounds like the fuel pump bud
