Our Hoover Fusion blew up and we need a new vacuum. I think it probably had to do with me using it like a shop vac and sucking up a lot of construction debris/drywall dust, etc.
But if anyone has any ideas so I don't have to trek all over the net, I'm all ears. The Fusion was awesome and only about 100 dollars, but I'd like something with more exhaust filtering and it has to be bagless.
Depends on what quality you want and how much $ you want to spend. Dyson makes about the best, never loses suction, and is bagless. Not cheap, but worth every cent!
Sorry, cant help ya,Dont know where she moved too after the divorce,,,but boy,she sure could suck every penny out of a wallet! Oh wait,,you said bagless,,,never mind,,,
KT, you're horrible!
I wouldn't rule out bagging vacs, I have a Kirby G3 I picked up used for my wife, got it for free. Wound up getting a box of all the accessories for it for free later on, and it's a really good vacuum. The attachments available include a carpet shampooer, blower fitting and hose for filling air beds, and so on. Self propelled, all metal, makes an Electrolux canister seem light, but will last forever, maybe longer. Keep an eye on Craigslist, people don't know what these things are worth really. I had to put a new cord on mine. $3.90 for an extension cord from wally world, and I had a $600 vacuum back in service.
I bought a Simplicity, a little expensive and heavy, but a good machine.
I tried a couple of the bagless jobs, with the hepa filters and stuff.
Had to take them back.
After 2 vacuums of the house, the hepa filters were clogged with dog hair and weren't worth a hoot.
Those filters are pricey. Over a year's time, I would have spent a bunch of money on filters.
Just go get a "red" dirt devel from walmart.......cheap, last forever and will suck the hair right off your head.
I've had one for a couple of decades.....beat the crap out of it and it's still going strong.
Don't belive in all the hype regarding the expensive ones.
We have a eureka, and i wouldnt reccomend it. It works good but its built pretty cheap and the tubes that are supposed to hold together so you can stand upright and vacuum, are shot, we ve had it for 2 yearish.
You get what you pay for. I've thrown out 3 cheapies but the Oreck is still going and I gave it to my buddy when we got an upgrade. You get free yearly check ups for 20 years.
We use the cheapest Bissel bagless -- 45 bucks at wally world. My daughter has her own maid service, and she recommended it.
Has 5 cleanable filters that are easy to get to, and it seems to do a good job. Works as well as many more expensive vacs we've tried -- and the design seems pretty straightforward.
We eventually trash all of our vacs due to a lot of pet hair. Seems to get to most vacs in time -- no matter what you pay for them.
I bought a Dyson over a year ago that was on sale from Lowe's. I got tired of changing the bags in the Hoover upright we had and I was impressed with the Dyson design so I bought one.
I used the old Hoover upright after installing a new bag and even though the Hoover did a good job, the Dyson picked up even more after running it right after the Hoover. With two dogs in the house, the Dyson fills up quick.
It will not reach under low furniture but is just as easy to push around as any vacuum I have used. I have also had to clean the filter only once in the year I have had it.
Best thing? No bags to buy!

i was going to say something similar... just not money... haha
heres a good one for the drywall... tell a feining crackhead... that its crack.... tell them you wll give them 5 bucks to get it out of your house... hahahahahahaha
for vacums weve always went to the second hand store about bought one... if it didnt work... we gave it back to them.. i mean it would only be something like 10 dollars... LOL
