Looking for help with a fault code. My 2002 6.8 F250 with 50k miles has just registered a fault code (engine check light) of:
P1633 - (Keep Alive Memory, voltage low)
There was no power interruption, and no recent work done on the Truck, has anyone dealt with this fault code... and where should I go next?
I've run a search (here), without any luck.
There are a series of fuseable links near the battery, I would probe those to make sure there is not a voltage drop. It wouldn't hurt to check for battery voltage across the fuses too. I have seen a few fuses break but not fully blow, which leads to headaches.
Then I would check the PCM ground, make sure it's clean and tight.
