Is there a after market diagnostic that can pin point which injector is out, or is there another way. I am sure I got another one going but I can't afford to spend the 1300 dollars right now. Also is there a manual out there.
Yes. Almost any auto parts store sell Diagnostic code readers. They run anywhere from $50 to several hundred dollars. They can tell which injector is malfunctioning, IF it throughs a code up. Usually indicated by the Check Engine Light.
Which manual are you referring to? The Diagnostic code reader, on general repairs type manuals such as Haynes?
pfoustr :: I am looking for the factory shop manual( if they still use paper) the service department I use said theirs are all electronic and they didn't even have a paper copie for me to get a manufactor or part number from. Yes this is the same service place that told me only ford factory diagnostic can pin-point the cylinder ( and less then half the codes willl show on any thing other then ford equipment)
I am using the links you supplied bismic but I do not trust having either internet or even a computer every time I need to do work on the truck, I like having the paper copie throw it in the truck that way it is always there. More to the point I have been using a paper manual for so long in my field the it just feels wrong now days using any thing else. I like my 6.0 over all but man when they brake down boy does it cost. If the one I found through HELM for 185.00$ is the correct one then my cheep A$$ might be adapting new methoods. Thanks for the link I have started saving it section by section the its own file (this might take a while.
I bought a new set of 2004 manuals for my truck. I have 3 so far. I really don't know if there are more than that. The main manuals are huge. Then there is a thinner manual that covers the emmisions. It is the one with the codes in it and the test procedures.
I copyed the 6.0 bible to CD and took it to 3 different office stores to price how much it would cost to copy the cheapest one was 90.00. I am a little odd in I like to read shop manuals like most people would read books. I high lite things, find short cuts in comparing on section to another and I add those little peski items like where it says refer to section 3 and when you get there there is only a sentence or two, so I'll write it in also the Tq's as I see them pop up, like my harley manual you have to refer to the front of the chapter for the Tq's well as I read and refer to the manual I write the Tq's in the Illustrations and the parts manual.
