07 Stroker having issues with overheating, starting,& boost
07 F-350 6.0 w/airbags,Timbrens,rear sway bar, long box crew cab First off I have an edge juice with attitude programmer. I have a magnaflow turbo back exhaust and a airaid intake. I recently have been having some problems overheating. I took a trip with my slide in camper and was pulling my boat. Camper 3800 lbs. boat about the same weight. I must have overheated 10 times. It seems to overheat way too easy now. I never ran the chip over 2. It drove me nuts. I checked the radiator and it was not stuffed with bugs. It smells like coolant now every time its hot. Next issue is that I can never get more than 20-25 lbs. of boost no matter what chip setting I am on. To make matters worse, the truck does not start right away. I wait for the glow plugs to warm and turn it over and it always takes 4-7 seconds to start. Any thoughts guys??

Reason: wrong boost numbers
Unfortunately it has 65K on it. What should I look for? Coolant in the oil?? Average cost on new head gaskets??? Bummer my power steering pump is going bad as well. Two weeks ago I had to replace the alternator. I hope this is not a uphill battle from here on out with this truck. I love the truck but man oh man.
My mistake - the engine warranty is 100k (it is late) so you may get the repair done on warranty. Assuming you have a "mod friendly" dealership, they should replace your head gaskets under warranty. If they are "really mod friendly", they will install ARP head studs (you buy the studs for $400 to $500) to replace the head bolts. They should always check the heads for flatness during this process. Set up an appointment to talk to the diesel tech at a shop with a good reputation. IMO it is always a good practice to be honest w/ the guy about the mods you have.
You will not see oil in the coolant with head gasket failures (unless the oil cooler fails) - only coolant loss and perhaps the fan kicking on and overheating. Many people replace the oil cooler and EGR cooler during this process.
Oh yeah - and welcome to FTE (reading the tech folder is a great place to start on this Forum).
