get it out with some baeting and some bad words but i broke the vacume advance though but im putting a new msd or my friend has one from a 460 it should work in thanks for all the help
just a suggestion, but when I put my new distributor back into the hole, the alumninum housing is going to get coated with Anti-sieze. I don't care if it doesn't help, it sure can't hurt anything!!!
Try brake fluid instead of wd-40 and such. Put some brake fluid around the area where the distributor goes into the engine. Let sit for an hour or so and you should be able to turn it. Brake fluid is fantastic for loosening parts, just dont get any on yout paint.

X2... except I'm still not entirely certain I understand it!
well, pounding or shoving on the vacuum advance actuator will only screw that up, and i just priced and purchased one today @ $40.00.....maybe 'better idea' to remove the advance actuator, which will much more readily allow for the 'west virginia' idea (pipe wrench)....agree you want to first break it loose by turning
