I am planning on putting new tires on my bronc for wheeling. I was looking at 33x12.50x15's, but a set of those are gonna be fairly pricey, and I'd have to get a new set of at least 10 inch wide rims. Even plain rims in a 10 inch are expensive. I'm thinking of just getting a set of 31x10.50's instead so I can just use my 8 inch rims. Will I lose much in performance? I'm gonna get BFG M/T's either way. I mainly go through mud and trails, and occaisionally the dunes in Silver Lake Mich (I love living 10 miles away
) I hardly ever go through bad stuff without someone else to pull me out, :-X11 , so I don't need mega huge tires anyways, but am I gonna lose A LOT with the 31's rather than the 33's? I'm gonna redneck lock both axles with a welder too, so that ought to help some, right? Also, I would have a hard time spinning 33's with just 3.55 or 3.73 gears (not sure which) as well, wouldn't I? Thanks for the help.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-May-02 AT 05:11 PM (EST)]you can put the 12.5's on an 8" rim no problem you will just have to run alittle lower air pressure so they wear even. If you look in my gallery the front tires on my truck are 35/14.5/15 on 8' rims and there is no problem at all

You could run 32-11.5-15's on your 8" rims if you want something bigger then the 31's but don't want to buy new rims..I have these in the BFG AT's..Have 3.50 gears and no problem turning them..
