Question about Grinders.
hi, new to this forum. im on a bunch of car audio forums though. but i have a question bout body work, so where better to come then here right??
im getting ready to take care of my little eye sore rust spots on the Explorer. i dont have many, but each winter it gets worse.
i got a craftsmans D.A. Sander and a few other items, but i have a question about a good grinder to take the rust down to bare metal.. i just use a angle grinder right?
im Kind Of new to body work. ive helped friends and uncles before "see pic's", remember i was basically the helper. i was helping out a few buddies of mine cause the other guy screwed them over so i came in to get the job done. but I never had my own tools till i desided to take care of this rust. and i just want to get the right tools i need first for the job im doing. ive got a few tools here and there, but i need like a grinder and a few other things. just wondering if this one would be good to strip it down.

but anyway, here are a few pics of the Tahoe i helped out on.

and sorry to basically merge two topics from one question, but thought i'd share some pics and make it a good first post here.

It will come in very handy for prepping small area's especially with the 2-3" stripping discs. your DA will cover the larger stuff. Grinding down welds will require something larger like a regular electric angle grinder.
