Not too common. I lived both in Winnipeg and Edmonton in the late '60's and I saw a few in both cities.

Those are different looking, almost have some old t bird looks too them, not quite but almost.

i've got a sunbeam... drove it this evening whipping up a batch of waffles...

You must have the lower powered 4 cylinder Sunbeam, if you tried to whip up some waffles with one of them 289 powered 'Beams that waffle mix would be flying off the kitchen counter !!

Both the Sunbeam Tiger and the 55-57 T-Birds are long time favourites of mine and IMHO, two of the best looking automobiles...ever.

However, before you mentioned the similarity in style, I never put two and two together.
But now that you mention it, I can definitely see the resemblance, especially from the front ends.

The 55-57 t birds were one of my favorite cars growing up, I still have a poster of a white one I got when I was a kid.

I did. Thought they were beautiful. Thought Ford smacked one out of the park on that one.

They are kinda neat but I thought they were on the expensive side. A friend of mine bought a blk one and one of these days I`m going to have a closer look at it.

The new Tbirds are kinda classic but I'd still take a restored original.

New T-birds are okay they weren't a big hit I think they where pretty expensive nothing beats the ol ones
