I believe Firestone and Goodyear both make tires 48"-52" tall that are street legal. Also, you'd have to get custom wheels too. These tires use a 16.1" wheel size and they would be at least 16" wide. They will cost you, though. I'd personally stick with a 44" Bogger, Swamper or Ground Hawg. These tires are expensive enough.

I saw some 48s that were street legal...but they also had "do not exceed 30mph" stamped on the sidewalls. Don't know what is up with that. They are made by Goodyear and are called "terra grips". Unless you have money to burn I'd stick with the 44s. Then again, sometimes you just gotta sayI can't speak civilly

Those 16.1" rim size tires are for combines and farm equipment, not for a passenger vehicle. They are not designed for apinning as fast as a truck tire, and will want to fly apart if you take them down the highway. Nevermind if they are rated for a lot higher load than a truck tire as the extra speed will generate alot more heat and you will lose the extra load capacity, besides the huge lugs wanting to fly off the carcass from centrifugal force, and the fact that noone bothers to make these tires anywhere close enough to round to balance them. So they are not for use on a highway driven truck, thus the 30mph limit.

Anyways, they will work great for off-roading, that is exactly what they are designed for you just gotta come up with the rims to make it work. Stockton Wheel will make them for you, or there are companies that make rims for heavy equipment that will make any rim with any bolt pattern you want. There are some other tires available in 18" and 20" rim sizes that will work for the same purpose, for a wider range of available sizes. I want to put some 18" front backhoe tires on 18" chrome truck rims on the F250, that would be pretty nice looking and tough. I'd say go browse through some farm tire catalogs at the local commercial tire store, particularly rear farm, combine, backhoe, flotation, and forestry tires. Firestone and Goodyear are definitely the two major ones.

My dad has some 52incher (and about 24 to 30 inches wide to)tires on his swather with I think a Ford one ton bolt pattern. They have a mosnter truck/farm tractor tred pattern and are a pain in the @$$ to fill up with air when they are flat.

82' Flareside: zoom zoom doesn't even begin to describe it

You can get slightly used Michelin military tires for a good price and they're available up to 53" but need 20" wheels. You can have the 20" wheels made to whatever bolt pattern needed.
