We're back and doing good. We got power back late last night and cable internet came on this morning. It was a rough week but I have to tell you, it was made a whole lot easier by the great friends that I have here in this forum.
Barry, Cris, Jim, Roland, Jay (makomaker), Jason (HKusp), Chris....I cannot thank you guys enough. Your internet searches, phone relays, text messages, offers of fuel deliveries, telephoned in wiring instructions, directions to FEMA PODs and ice stations, and just relaying news to us will never be forgotten. I know that I had to have been driving Cris up the wall with having her run internet searches for me but she never complained once. Barry and Jim helping me get the house wired and running on generator power. I'm no electrician, but we got it done. Chris and Jason offering to run fuel, generators and air conditioners to me. I'm telling you, FTE is a great place, populated with even greater people. I am proud and lucky to have all of you as friends.
I have tons of pictures, videos and stories to post up and will when I get a chance. First, I just wanted to extend my gratitude and thanks to everyone here. If there is ever anything that I can do for any one of you, please, just ask.
I cant imagine how bad it is down there....I just got back from a trip to richmond, IN and they had bad flooding and power outages from the let overs of IKE and thats a good 800miles inland!
Good to see your doing good and yet another one for the family of FTE.
Awesome Scott! You were in all of our thoughts.....along with everybody else affected by IKE. The great people of FTE obviously helped you out, and it helped put us at ease watching them help you get through it! Glad everybody made it through SAFE! Welcome back bro
Went to work this morning. The plant suffered extensive damage to the incoming power supply lines. We ran the office on a really nice generator (that I sure would like to have) and we assesed the damage. I had a crew of guys doing tree clean up and water removal and then we went home at noon. Tomorrow I have a conference call with our plant in Springfield, OH and we will decide if we are sending orders, tooling and personel there to make parts. I may be flying there with a crew if need be. I will know more about that tomorrow at 9am.
