Wish I had a million, and all the time in the world...if you look close, on the hoods of some of the Fords, it says "Runs" and a date!! Not sure how accurate, but that would be cool!
I just hope I can see that much at once before I die! That was awsome. I emailed my buddies kid that goes to school in Iowa and told him he needed to go! New York state is just too far away! I was thinking of going to fall Carlisle but this would be better! Everything there looks so real!
Have you ever just opened the door of one of these "old gems", and just thought about the things they have been thru. The smell of the musty seat, the head liner hitting you in the head, looking at the ground from the inside, the missing pieces where someone else has fixed up their truck. It's all part of the attraction! That undeniable pull towards our past and the love of old Ford iron.
It's only an 12 hour drive for me. I'll tell my wife I want to go see Mount Rushmore and then half way through SD I'll accidently make a wrong turn. If only I had the time and money.
I've been through that area a couple of time, a whole lot of nothing.
LOL BobJ "wrong turn" a real hard Left Turn I could see it now, No honey I don't no what happened to the road we were supossed to be on? OMG look at that auction over there! we have to stop.... just for a couple minutes!!!! LOL
I grew up in Custer SD there's nothing there to see! Nebraska is where it's all at! Dont forget about "Carhenge" Major senic attraction it would be better if they had some bonus builts though!
I would like to go see all this but am too far away. I would like to have that Studebaker P/U. I am slightly warped because I have always liked Studebaker stuff. I wanted a Lark with V-8 and overdrive when they first came out but never got the chance to get one.
