Tire size???

What is the widest tire i can fit on a 16x7 rim. The guy who sold me the truck told me he had 38x16x12 on them. I'm looking at some 35x16x12.5. Does anyone know if they will work? I do not care if they are bowed out or anything. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

That might work, although i would never do it. If I were you I would upgrade and go with a 16x8 or a 16x10, but I think it will work.

I'm almost positive a 12.5 will work on a 7" rim. My neighbor has 38.5x15.5x15 on 15x8 wheels, so it should work just fine.
