I've got a set of 33x12.5x15 General Grabber MT's from an old truck. I also have 95 Bronco. I'm looking to get the minimum suspension lift to fit these tires. I figured it would be around 2-3in, problem is most companies offer only the 4 and 6in kits. I don't want to spend $500 on a lift, and I don't want a body lift. Anyone know of a quality 2-3in kit for my Bronco for around $300-400? I want the tires to be pretty snug in the wheel well without rubbing, I don't like the look of empty wheel-well space, and I can't afford to move up to 35's.
You could get a 2" suspension lift, cheap. Check out skyjacker.com. They are the best. You get new coils that are like 130-140 i think. Easy to install and just go get an alignment when you're done. No need for new shocks, brake lines, anyhting like that.
Primary rig is:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Sunroof, and some 32" BFG Muds .
Pictures are in!!
Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Superduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Top speed is 65mph, Go Baby Go!
I've got a 4 inch Superlift with the extended radius. My 33x12.50s mounted on american racing baja wheels do experience some rub on the radius arms at near full turn. Besides that I've had no other clearance problems. I'm confident that with a different backspacing I wouldn't have tire rub, but I like my paint job and therefore didn't want my tires sticking out past the fenderwells.

Ever thought of cutting your fenders? Thats the easy and quickest way. I currently have 32" tsl and no lift and they still leave travel in the fenders so i can still get full suspension articulation. However im going to go bigger and better and get 33" as you are. I am going to have a friend of mine cut my fenders off with his plasma gun. Then i wont need a lift cause my 95 bronco wheel well's are pretty deep anyway. My future plans are to get a 6" lift and fit 38"s, this will be possible cause i will cut the fenders. It will also give me a more stable truck with little lift and big meats. Hope this helps, good luck.

I have the same idea - 33s with minimum lift/expense. I just came from the local suspension shop, and after a lengthy discussion of the pros/cons of the different lift options, I think I've decided to go with a 2" body lift. He'll install it and match up all the bumpers and accessories (nerf bars and brush guard) for about $700 total. Not cheap, but I don't have to deal with the installation headaches. However, another option he pointed out was to trim the rear edge of the front bumper (which seems to be the real clearance problem) - properly trimmed, it would give another 2" plus of clearance for the tire. On second thought, I may have him try that first...
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Jun-02 AT 03:08 AM (EST)]Wait a minute? You "don't like the look of empty wheel well space?" Yep, it's definitely going to be a pavement pounder. Can't help you there
Hey Skyking, if I understand correctly, you're paying $700 for a 2" body lift? You are getting ripped off. You can get a body lift for $100 dollars and have it installed PROPERLY for about $200. Must be expensive where you live.
Well, decided not to go with the body lift - probably gonna bite the bullet and go with the Rancho 4" susp lift. 4WPW will install the kit w/radius arms and RSX shocks for $1435. And I can get a set of BFG AT KOs from Costco for $141 each - mounted, balanced, and installed. If I can get 4WPW to match that (their website says they "will not be undersold," then I can get the whole shebang installed for $1800. They have a $100 back for every $1000 spent deal going on now.
It's definitely a pavement-pounder, my daily driver that must get me from NY-MA in and out of school for the next four years. My 85 4x4 F150 Stepside is going to be my off-road truck, just can't afford any offroading for awhile. I was hoping for about $1000 to get the 33's on the Bronco, but I think I'm just going to leave it stock for now. I really don't like driving a stock truck, but hopefully for longevity's sake it will serve me well.
