I think there are two basic types, the one has top and bottom mounting points, and keeps mirrors closer to body. other style sits a lot wider, and has an extra brace mounted to door. i believe these are the 2 factory west coast mirrors,There is a guy here that goes by "NumberDummy"(he on vacation,as i recall),he's a retired Ford partsman, when he returns,he should have part #'s for you.......Bob

West Coast Mirrors, have 3rd "steady rest" bracket. "Goose neck" upper/lower brackets telescope in/out.

Mirror heads are the same for both styles: C7TZ-17723-A

I ran these on the internet recently, denniscarpenter.com's NOS (new old stock) parts website had a pair.

I'm in SLC Utah, so I don't have the parts catalogs, but I believe the part number is C7TZ-17696-F .. Mirror Kit / Fit: 1967/72 F100/350 / Right/Left is the same.

When I get home, I'll verify the number, run them again on the net, post the results here.

Thanx, for the info will look on that site and see if there still there? Just talked to dennis carpenter and looks like they just have the mirror heads so checking price and all that. Any body have the brackets? Called another place called Green Sales 1-513-731-3304 and they have ford parts also (got # from dennis carpenter)

You can try your luck on carpenters NOS site, but it's a FIRST CLASS PITA to use.

You have to type in the EXACT Ford parts catalog description, hit submit, than dozens of Ford part numbers come up....and worse, the numbers are in no particular order with right sides mixed in with lefts, inside mirrors mixed in with outside mirrors, brackets and other mirror parts typed *****-nilly...it's a *&&*^ MESS!

If you do not know Ford part numbers, it's impossible to use.

Personally, if I were you, I'd call Carpenter direct, and ask them, or wait till I get home.

I have other ways of searching, but my PC is at home, the one I'm using on vacation is the wifes laptop.

Some other obsolete parts dealer might have the mirrors, but there's nothing I can do till I return. The internet search functions are on my computer at home along with the passwords to access the sites.

The mirrors I listed the number for are the stainless type, Ford also offered painted white versions.

That part number may not be correct. I know it's C7TZ-17696-, but I'm not sure if the suffix is F or not.

appreciate the effort, just let me know after you have time to check when you get home on the painted or stainless (they seem tuff to find, even used ones in good condition)

Thanx,
Todd

Check with Rick at Carolina Classics or Tom at Flashback F100s

I have one set of the NOS units that came from the same lot as Dennis, Rick and Tom purchased for resale from Wayne....

And i think i gave a set to Banjopicker, possibly he may part with them.

Garbz

(Sorry not for sale as i intend to use them on my 69 crew.)

I have the tall and skinny west coast mirrors on my truck. They stink!

Can't see left, can't see right. Can't see too wide behind me, but i can see tall and skinny!
