you know youve got it, lets hear about what kindof junk you have under your hood, i'm talking about on the sides in those channels when you lift it up. i have some washers, bolts, a rusted philips head screwdriver, a flat one, (for idle and hose clamps) as well as a oil, tranny, and power steering fluid soaked rag sitting near the bracket where most people have a jack.
nothing, i have a milk crate between the passenger seat and the back seat(crew cab) but soon it will all be in my under bed tool box. but if i ever get around to it i will have an OE generator under there.
I bent up and welded a piece of 1-1/2"x1/8" angle on the drivers side, drilled a couple holes for hold downs, mounted a second battery and a float charger. Pass. side has a perko marine battery switch mounted behind the battery and starter relay, inboard of hood hinge.
Y'all knew of course that Ford offered an optional in cab TOOL BOX for 1969/72's, right?
When this was factory installed, the underbed 25 gallon auxillary tank was a mandatory option, because the in cab tool box took the place of the in cab fuel tank.
sounds pretty cool bill. makes me wish i could go back in time and get one of those toolboxes. heck for the prices of vehicles only being a couple grand i would have to go crazy and get a few different cars and trucks all fully loaded!
Good suggestion on taking the 5 grand back! assuming you figure out the method to travel time, one would think you would have a few options on your luggage,or maybe it will be like airtravel is getting. travel back to 1972 will run you $125,if you want to wear clothes, its $5 per piece, luggage costs $20 for first checked bag,$30 for each after that, probably pay for peanuts/cocktails,too
