Did the line test everything looked good, however it is smokin hot at the selenoid when i crank it.I can't find the attachment button to post pictures of the area and don't use public places like photobucket to host.Any other thoughts. Some friens mentioned theres a rotor under the distributer that ma have fried.M
What do you mean by line test?
How long are you cranking it when it gets "smokin hot"?
Is the test light flashing at the tach side of the coil when you crank it?
crank it for maybe a minute. The cord from the battery at the selenoid has actually melted some.I will look at your line drawing and get one of the kids to help me check the tach side but that would be later on (school).M
no the starter turns fine when the battery is up.It has a 351 engine.M
I would limit my cranking to about 15 seconds at a time then and let it cool before retrying.
We need to know if it is flashing the test light before we can help you much more.
ok we have checked every fuse we can find and every fusible link.the solenoid, ignition module, and coil all check out.we are getting no spark to the plugs,Thoughts and suggestions appreciated M
