1979 power windows install
ok so i am doing power windows in my regular cab truck. i have heard that the best way to do it is to use ford 80's style regulators, motor and wiring. some people fab the 80's regulaors to fit the 79 and some cut up the 79's regulators to mount 80's motor. i like the idea of cutting the 80's style motor bracket and welding it to the 79's regulator gears myself and have stock bolt in regs. i just found a set out of a 1988 f150 p/u with everything for $100. anyone done this swap before and have some advice before i go into this one? i can buy after market kits for this project for about 300$ but seems a bit too much for me really when i'm sure i can figure it out. hell, its been a frame up restoration this shouldn't be too hard?

Check this website Restore Trucks I think it has a kit where you can use your old crank handles to look stock.
