There was a big write-up in Canton paper last week about the "butchers" from the power company. Seems a local family had their lane cropped to pieces and it was apparently a photo spot for alot of weddings. They showed what was left of the trees(hideous looking), but the power company stands behind their "do it yourself or loose it" attitude.
I about cried a couple years ago when "they" hit my house and cropped the whole one side of each of my trees in my side yard. Granted, I'd only been there a couple years and didn't plant the trees, but man....a blind monkey could have done a more proper job. Hack, hack, hack is all they did. No ryhme or reason to it, just cleared it out. I'm working on just getting them removed now(I took one out this past spring myself).
Glad to hear you finally got power Ray. Man....it took a whole week? Dayum.

Sorry to hear the trimming wasnt up to your specs but I think their 'ryhme or reason' has to do about removing encroachments upon their right of way. If you want someone to carve you a sculpture out of a tree I think you have to actually pay them a little. They arent llandscaping specialists or even concerned with looks and have a job to do which they take pretty serious. I'm pretty sure anyone purchasing property must sign the disclosure of right of way and also have the ability to remove/trim trees before the butchers arrive. I don’t have anything to do with tree trimming but I have worked for a couple utility companies.
