engine cranks, but no start

just thought of something, i remember when i had the distributor out the thrust washer was toast, so i took it off and didnt bother trying to find another one, what exactly does the thrust washer do?? i have a blow up diagram of it if someone needs it. **** maybe thats the issue???

I would get another thrust washer for it. As the camshaft spins, the helical design of the distributor gear causes the distributor to "walk" upward, instead of spin. I just dont think it is your problem because it just seems too erratic.

well its starting thats the issue now...im picking up a new distributor tomorrow. theres also play in the rotor, and that cant be good either. if that dont work i think the injectors are to blame.
