Whats the benifit from stacking them? Cant see it being more than a waste of money. When you stack two 100 hp chips do you get 200 hp??? Cant see how in the world that would work....
No problem with the Hijack, Glad to see people support and care about the troops overseas, Typically when we hit the foriegn soil (area of operations), locations are keep secret, just protocal. My prayers for your sons safe return home greg!

Greg, the "whereabouts unknown" part of your sig. Is the boy O.K. I understand the hush about specific locales, but he is O.K. right?
Thanks Dan for your service, and to Gregs son, Godspeed son, come home safe.
You gained a little bit, not 200. Best place would have been left on the shelf.
I guess I should call edge directly and ask them what would be the reason for it (ie what they do combined to make more power than either one of them seperatly) since now I just gotta know lol.
There is some benefit it definitely not 100 for evo plus 75 for juice but there is a definite difference if I remember correctly the both control different parameters but I am really not sure one of the main reasons I got both is B/C I liked the attitudes functions but not so much its HP output (only claims 75). Which brings another question up why do chips claim amounts of HP that they dont actually put out or do they put it out?

What parameters can be different, Im not Jody or anyone that tunes engines but I can imagine there is only so much you can mess with. I think its just a gimmic to make more money off people. The chip isnt goin to put all that power to the ground, I think most people are hitting 300 hp to the ground with Jodys econ tune and stock turbo and sticks.
Like I said I dont know the details maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in I do remember reading on it once upon a time there must be some differences tho. I believe a downloader like the Evo uploads a new program onto ur pcm I think the Juice changes pulse and width of injection. I do know there is a definitive difference when I go thru the levels of my juice and the juice has alot of options u can adjust on the fly
RatRod I also read somewhere under heavy towing the Tow program makes alot of heat in the tranny just giving u a heads up so you can keep ur eye on it. I have never used this program and personally do not know.

I too read posts mentioning the tranny heat in tow mode. I have the EVO II and on my only camping trip since buying the truck and EVO, I did notice the tranny hovering about 200 degrees using the tow mode. This was towing up into the Sierras (a lotta steep uphills).
I'm going on another trip soon and have changed to the race mode. Without my 10K# fiver attached I've noticed more power and quicker acceleration and occasionally a little smoke when accelerating hard. I'll have an opinion soon on the results when trailering.
Getting a dp wouldn't have been the best thing for me as I'd only had the truck a few weeks and with no experience couldn't give Jody any hints on what I needed. Now I have the EVO gauges, soon I'll have the exhaust and intake, and after some trips towing I expect to put the EVO to stock and be able to give Jody the information needed to build the chip I need.

Read this, it will tell you HOW the different types of power-up devices work.

11/3/07 both stacked on highest settings w/slipping trans 288.8hp 599.3ft.lbs. That was my Dyno run on a Mustang Dyno.
Next run will be in 3 weeks on same Dyno. This time with a BTS trans and Dp Tunes. Should be much better.
I will not run in the "Tow Safe Mode". I have no power, the trans is searching for a gear that I don't have and the Trans temp skyrockets. I have run in both Level II and Level III pulling a 40 foot toyhauler. From Iowa to Florida and back last winter. In either I can set the cruise control and sit back and relax until I come across the occasional 7% grade. Haven't tried it pulling yet, but running with just a small trailer and around 2000 lbs in the bed, I found that pushing the RPM's up to around 2200 before hitting the grade and then keeping it there or above I didn't have the trouble with EGT I had keeping the RPM's at 2000. Driving around town I keep it on Level II. There is so much more throttle response, but doesn't blow out the black smoke when I stomp it as much as it does on Level III. Am saving the money for the DP too though.

Thanks Rod,
It's because of your posts that I moved the setting to II or "race" and already noticed a difference running empty. I'm doing a two hour tow (10K# 27' fifthwheel) into the mountains in a few days, so I'll be looking for an improvement in tranny temps in addition to pulling power.
