V10 Crankshaft ?
Well, up to this point i thought i had the v10 pretty well figured out;
10 cylinders, overhead cams, balance shaft, etc...
And then comes the curveball. I would have never guessed it had offset
rod journals!
Makes me think about how i've had my foot in it now and then (O.K. more than i'll admit!)Shure is strong for something so delicate looking.

Split-pin crank, yessir.
Forged steel.
It's the only way to get an even-fire V10 with a 90 degree block.
It's also the reason we have a balance shaft - all the rods/pistons are not all moving in perfect opposite motion with another assembly.
The Dodge V10 is not an even-fire setup.
Remember the old Buick odd-fire V6's? They had a distributor cap that looked just like a V8's. With two posts missing.
