Pyrometer question

I have a question about reading my pyrometer, I just added a Edge Evo and set it on the extreme mode, so i need to make sure im reading/monitoring the pyrometer correctly. My guage hits 7 at WOT, here's a pic of my guage maybee folks can shed some light on this subject for me.

Is your temp probe pre or post turbo?

If he's only hitting 700 degress at WOT, I'll bet its post turbo. Mine hits around 1000 without a chip at WOT and its pre turbo.

7 x 100 is 700 not 7000 like you said in your other thread... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...o-to-work.html
700 is a good number...1250 is max ,,that is if your probe is in the up pipes...

you want the probe in the driver side exhaust manifold or up pipe....the gauge you have is a good gauge...but 7x 100 is 700...not 7000 like you said in the other thread......that would be 7x 1000

I thought he had the Edge in cab monitor. Yep thats 700. Wouldnt need to change the whole gauge just the probe location if its not already pre-turbo.

Temp probe is post turbo. Im looking at a new pyrometer that reads in thousands. Can I run a post and pre or is that just overkill. Only reason I ask is the new one is a pillar mount if i decide to buy it.
