That sucks. Gas is still about $3.46 - 3.56 here and I'm only a couple hours away from the damage.

I'm 100 miles from where the hurricane hit. was windy this morning and last night. yesterday in town it was $3.59 at Valero. didn't go to town today. in some places where people were evacuating they were paying up to $5.

Maybe they're not bidding on anything autmobile related. I'm also a photographer, and I see PLENTY of action for new/used photo gear.

Theres a lot more volume out there now anyway. They just changed the pricing structure to list cars+trks now. Before it was 40.00 to list a operable car with"some" back end fee's.NOW they chg nothing up frt to list a veh,but boy do they get u on the back end if it sells. So with this being the case people are just throwing autos up and see whatt sells.

Yeah, I think it's $120 if you sell.

I may only get $400 for my truck, then Ebay takes $120 of it.

Gas went up here, -up in canada, before the damn hurricane even got ashore down there. Increased by around 13 cents a litre-now it must be about 1.49.
We are all being soo gouged and raped, its not funny, never was. I hope them rich basterds choke on thier fish eggs and lobster, that are responsible.
Oil went down alot per barrel, before Ike-yet the prices at the pump only went down a couple of cents.

Freds dog farted near a refinery, better crank up the prices!

btw, I do feel sorry for all involved with Ike-weathering bad storms is not fun.

YOU SAID IT THUNDER.If I went dwn to TX or LA a couple years a go and chged 300% for chain saws and generators they would RIGHTFULLY put me in jail yet those F*****g oil companies just rape us.I believe in a free economy and if u got something to sell that doesn't mean victimizing people in real need.sell it for as much as someone willing to pay even if it's for a crazy amount. But we all have to have oil for heat and to conduct are life.We go t no choice. It's not like trying to decide between plasma or LCD.Whew I'm going to get another beer and maybe chase the cat around a little

Thats no reason for Tenn. to have five dollar a gallon gas... I was down thru Clinton tenn and Knoxville area down 75 into GA yesterday ... was 3.50 in kentucky, crossed the line into Tenn, the first station i saw was 4.69 for cheap stuff...

Now its gone up a bit here (thankfully i buy mostly diesel and fuel for the orange truck comes outta a drum from VP) but whats happened down in Tenn... is just outrageous.. wonder if/when somebody is gonna step up and do something about it?

What gets me is they say the price spike is temporary and should last for less than a week and go back to the prices before the shortage, but I'm thinkin it's not likely. Maybe drop back down $4, but not the continuing pattern of dropping down to $3. I personally believe this is some sorta conspiracy to keep gas prices high after the Saudi's did what they did in that OPEC meeting last week.
dont forget all the seagull poop that the oil companys have to pay to have cleaned off there oil rigs, surely seagulls will stop pooping soon and prices will return to normal!

well the storm hit over here yesterday morning at about 2 am. some of the gas stations if they ran out of regular they would sell the next grade for regular price.

btw, great analogy with Fred's dog
