I just picked up a new ignition control module from the Ford dealer and the part number is 5U2J-12A297-DA but the one that I pulled off the truck is F1SF-12A297-C1A. Is the new one a replacement part number or was I given the wrong ICM?

1995 Bronco 5.8L
It should have been:
1994-1996 F-series CCD Black = 5U2Z12A297D
Is the one they gave you black in color?
The number you gave sound more like a drawing number than a part number, are you reading it off the paper work or the part itself?
I am reading it off of the module itself. There is another 5 digit number below. On the old ICM it is 4G23A and the new one is C11HD.
Both ICMs are black.
I forgot to mention that I have a remote mounted ICM.
That is a CCD ICM Module and would be the one you need.
As I said above you are reading the Engineering Drawing Number and not the part number.
Ford does not put the part number on the part.
