My dad drives a 05 f-350 with the 6.0 liter. He puts on roughly 500km a day for work, I noticed edge products has a programmer called the Mileage Max. I'm wondering if anyone has used this? Or maybe heard anything about it. It claims up to 7% improvement in mpg. Thanks for the help
They claim "up to 7%". Assuming the average 6.0 gets 18mpg, that translates into a 1.26mpg gain, and the worst part is you may not get the 7%. Not worth $260+ you are going to pay for it in my opinion.
Here's one of the reviews on the EDGE website page for this unit (Can't believe they let it slip in there.)

Kick A** This chip took about 7 min or so to install. Get a pair of pliers to remove the default wiring harness then attach this. I secured the chip atop the fuse box. The non favorable part of this at speeds lower than 60 MPH you can feel how it affects the cruise control; it will drop the speed every now and then and cost until you reach the peak point of fuel efficency, I would somewhat worry about the tranny when the cruise control is used in non overdrive.
Yea now with this low sulfur diesel, it's hard to get those great mileage boost. Not to mention a part of the male psyche would press you to press the accelerator to see the performance gains, even further reducing the mileage.
