ez2wire ???

I am using a ez2wire 21 kit in my truck and my sons 88. Question is do you have to use relays on the headlights and other things that need a lot of amps. like ele seats, wipers, power windows. The kit only has one relay with it, and it is for the horn. Thanks RUSTY

Yeah Rusty, I usually drop by NAPA and pickup extra relays for the headlights, electric fan, and power windows, power seats, etc. Better to be safe.

I have the ez-wire 21 circuit wiring harness which I've had for 7 years however I just added relays for my headlight, I can really tell the difference in the brightness of the light.

Rusty,

You don't have to but its a popular upgrade. I did not do it on my truck and I haven't had any problems. Right now I just have relays for the horn and my electric fuel pump.

I researched the issue a bit when I was wiring my truck and decided that it wouldn't benefit me enough to go through the extra hassle.

Good luck with it
Bobby

Jaye, I too used ez-wire on my 51 and lights are dim but grounded good, kinda cool because they look like the old 6volt when they are on dim, high beam is almost what low beam should be. Don't do much night time driving but if relay would help I just might try it,Garry

Thanks fellas; Bobby I bought the kit with the relays for the fans and fuel pump from current performance, it has a couple other relays on it to. So that part is covered. It's better to ask than be sorry later. It just so happens I know who and where to ask. Thanks for the help. RUSTY

Rusty,

Cool. If you got em, you might as well use em. In the long run a system with relays is better and will extend the life of the headlight switch and dimmer switch.

Glad you hear you are making progress
Bobby
