I remember what I was doing when the towers fell like it was yesterday...I can't not believe it was 7 years ago.

I'm just glad I wasn't flying that day.

A week or so after 9/11, I was back at work and flew up the Hudson like usual. Took a few pictures of GZ... we were right next to it at 3000'. Eerie. Very eerie.

I was in Newfoundland when it happened. A ton of flights were diverted there. I have pictures of our two C-17s (on our way to Kuwait) surrounded by 40+ airliners, it was a eerie sight.

here is ground zero the day before re construction was to begin 09-29-2006, I was sent to New Jersey to cover a base there so we took the helicopter to New York on a test flight. flying over it was the second shot of reality for me.
